Nodame Cantabile

   

    This drama and movies are based on a manga with the same name. The plot is about Chiaki Shinichi, a piano player in Momogaoka College of Music . When he was young, he went with his father to Europe to see orchestras. When he went to Prague, he met Sebastiano Vieira, a conductor and became he's pupil. But, he returned to Japan. Even though he wanted to return to Prague, he couldn't due to his fear of planes and boats due to accidents he suffered. In this college, he went to piano division, even though he still dreams on becoming a conductor. One day, he hears someone playing piano and becomes interested in who is paying. It is Noda Megumi, known as Nodame, that is playing. She prefers to play by ear and has difficulty in reading the scores. She fell in love with Chiaki at first sight, but he didn't. Will this love blossom? Will Nodame start to play piano more seriously? Can Chiaki become a conductor and how? Will he be able to go to Europe to met Vieira?

    I really like this drama, and I think that the actors played very well this parts. I started to watch this because I heard of a Korean adaptation. The songs are beautiful played and shows the work of an orchestra and a pianist, and what they suffer and need to learn in order to improve.

Yamada-kun to 7-nin no Majo/ Yamada-kun and the Seven Witches

 

This drama is based on the manga with the same name. The plot is about a boy, Ryū Yamada (Yamamoto Yusuke), that is a delinquent, and Urara Shiraishi (Mariya Nishiuchi), a great student. One day both of them fall on the stairs and end up swapping bodies. They try to return to their own bodies and they found out that the only way was with a kiss. When reviving the Supernatural club, suggested by Toranosuke Miyamura (Ide Takuya,), the student council vice-president, they found a book about the witches. It says that there are 7 witches in the school with different powers. And so, it begins their quest to find the other 6. But who are they? What power do they have?

I found out this story by the manga, so I started to read it. When they announced that a drama was going to be made of this, I found it awesome. I have to say that I really liked the actors that participated in this drama, but the manga is still on going, so for 8 episodes only the story was cut and slightly changed, including the ending.

Tadashii Ouji no Tsukurikata

 

 

   The plot of this drama revolves around a girls' high school that turns into a co-ed. Since guys and girls weren't getting along, the girls decided to change the guys into princes, transforming their personalities and their looks. But will the guys change? And will the girls change while transforming the boys? And will they start to get along?

   Even though the plot seems pretty simple, it's a drama that I don't get tired of seeing.

Hidarime Tantei Eye

  

 

   This drama is about Ainosuke Tanaka (Yamada Ryosuke from Hey Say Jump) that receives a cornea transplant on his left eye that's from his older brother Yumehito (Yu Yokoyama) that died. When he wakes up from the surgery, he starts having visions of money and robber on his left eye. He then starts to investigate the death of his brother with the help of his school's nurse Hitomi Sayama (Satomi Ishihara). But what he ends up finding out is that his brother is alive and he is a criminal. So, Ainosuke Tanaka decides to try to stop his brother from committing more crimes.

This paragraph written above is a resume of what happens in the special, the drama focus on the battle between these two brothers. So, you have to watch the special first and the drama after in other to understand the story.

   I like dramas related to suspense and detectives, so I found this drama enjoyable.

Tantei Gakuen Q

  

 

This drama is an adaptation of a manga with the same name. It talks about a group of teenagers that became detectives under Morihiko Dan. They are Kyuu (Kamiki Ryunosuke), Minami Megumi aka Megu (Shida Mirai), Amakusa Ryuu (Ryosuke Yamada of Hey Say Jump), Toyama Kintaro aka Kinta (Kaname Jun) and Narusawa Kasuma (Wakaba Katsumi in drama or Naruki Matsuyama in special). How are the cases related to each other? Who is the person behind them? What is the past of Ryuu and Kyuu?

   I really liked this drama, and it was my first drama. If you have read/are reading the manga, you will notice the difference and the change of order/mix of somes cases and the origin of the group, but don't let that stop you. The cast is great, and the cases they solve will make you (at least it was what happened to me).

   NOTE: You have to watch the special first because it shows how they met and got to know each other.

Hana Kimi

 

Hi. Today I'm going to talk about a drama that was based on a well known manga. I'm talking about Hana Kimi. There are two japanese dramas and one taiwanese drama. It talks about a girl that wants to met a boy that has give up on his dream and she wants to encourage him to continue. The 1st japanese drama; with Oguri Shun and Horikita Maki is a comic version while the 2nd one is a serious version; with Maeda Atsuko and Nakamura Aoi. I liked and recommend both of them. The taiwanese version has comic and serious situations, but it has a little more romance than japanese versions. I liked this one too. Hope you like.

EDIT: The korean version is named "To the beautiful you" and the main characters are portrayed by Choi Minho from SHINee and Sulli from f(x).
